Yule Logs

The Yule log was burned in pagan festivals as far back as 5000 B.C., but around the 4th century A.D. the early Christians adopted the burning of Yule logs into their Christmas celebrations to symbolize the birth of Christ as the light of the world. Our colonial ancestors brought the tradition to New England from England. All of our Yule logs are made from New England birch decorated with a mixture of balsam, Port Orford cedar, incense cedar, noble fir, and white pine.
